Our Big Ship View / Container Ship trips (proper sea trips!) give you the chance to see huge offshore ships up close and personal with this bespoke and exciting RIB ride off the Norfolk and Suffolk coastline.
We’ll set out to sea from Lowestoft and enjoy a cruise before approaching a ship that is passing through the area, be it a cargo ship, oil tanker, survey vessel or something else…
You’ll be able to marvel at the sites of these huge vessels and the various cargoes they carry as they carry out their voyage. We often have many large ships passing through our waters and they are always an impressive spectacle.

As we can’t guarantee when a ship will be passing through, we are unable to offer this trip all of the time. We keep a close eye on Marine Traffic systems to predict when a large ship is likely to be passing through the area. So you don’t miss out, we can let you know when we will be running this trip next!

Trip Itinerary
- Departure from our Berth at Heritage Quay, South Pier
- Travel out to the vessel of interest
- Sit alongside the vessel allowing you to take photos and take it all in
- Return journey to Lowestoft Harbour in Suffolk

- The trip is weather and shipping dependant and offered on a casual basis as and when
- You may get very wet and cold and are advised wear layers and bring waterproofs (or you can borrow our waterproofs for free!)

*Weather Dependent means we require favorable weather conditions in order for the trip to be comfortable for passengers. This is normally determined by the wind speed/direction. If we think weather may be a problem, this will be communicated to you ASAP.
