Overview

For a fantastic day out seal spotting in Norfolk, take an exciting sightseeing and scenic nature boat trip with us, exploring the most Easterly point of the UK and the Gulliver wind turbine. Witness the erosion at Corton before passing the beaches of Gorleston and Great Yarmouth, then cruising past Scroby Sands and the wind farm to Horsey Beach for some quality time with seals. We slow right down when we get anywhere near the seals to avoid disturbing them and usually anchor with the engine off, allowing you to have a good look, capture amazing pictures, and create lasting memories.

These trips tend to be run at short notice because we need a suitable weather window and we know there are a lot of seals at Horsey (at some times of year there are literally none unlike Scroby). There is no obligation in signing up; you’ll just get an email if we run another trip and you can book if it suits you.

Have you considered our Scroby Sands Seal Trip? We run this regularly and it can be easily booked online! We often see many more seals at Scroby and the journey time there is much shorter (whilst still having the same amount of time with the seals). This trip is also much less intrusive on the seals.

Trip Itinerary

  1. Departure from our berth at the Heritage Quay, South Pier
  2. Through the yacht basin and out to sea past the pier heads
  3. 20 knot approx. cruise north passing Ness Point (Britain’s most easterly point), Gorleston/Gt Yarmouth and Caister
  4. Sit and drift with the tide as you watch the seals play and surround us
  5. Return journey to Lowestoft Harbour, Suffolk

  • You may get very wet and cold and are advised wear layers and bring waterproofs (or you can borrow our waterproofs for free!)

*Weather Dependant means we require favourable weather conditions in order for the trip to be comfortable for passengers. This is normally determined by the wind speed/direction. If we think weather may be a problem, this will be communicated to you ASAP.
