Itinerary of our Seal Trips
- Departure: We will begin our adventure by departing from our berth at Heritage Quay, South Pier.
- Sailing Route: As we sail through the yacht basin and out to sea, you’ll enjoy stunning views past the pier heads.
- Cruise Speed: We will then accelerate to approximately 20 knots, cruising north past notable landmarks such as Ness Point (Britain’s most easterly point), Gunton, Corton, Hopton-On-Sea, and Gorleston-On-Sea.
- Destination: Next, we will head towards the Scroby Sands Windfarm and sandbank.
- Seal Encounter: If weather conditions are favorable, we will drop anchor and turn off the engine, allowing visitors to hear the seals’ chorus in tranquil serenity. However, if the weather isn’t cooperating, we will drift silently with the tide, giving you the chance to witness the playful seals encircling our boat.
- Return Journey: Finally, we will make our way back to Lowestoft Harbour, Suffolk.

*This signifies our need for favourable weather conditions for passengers to comfortably enjoy the trip. The usual factors involved are the wind’s speed and direction. If weather conditions seem likely to cause trouble, you’ll be notified at the earliest.
**Even though it’s a fast boat trip, we maintain a slow pace when in the seals’ vicinity without encroaching too much into their space. This might require us to kill the engine and drop the anchor.
